Simple design Sarangi

The Sarangi is one of the oldest popular traditional musical instruments of Nepal. It consists of squat, truncated body with a sound board of goat skin. It has three main playing strings of heavy gut. These are the ones which are bowed. Because of its flexible tuning ability and its ability to produce a large palette of tonal colour and emotional nuance, sarangi is revered for its uncanny capacity to imitate the timbre and inflections of the human voice as well as for the intensity of emotional expression to which it lends itself. The actual weight is approx 1500 grams but the weight mentioned below is used for the volume based shipping. Since the product is entirely hand made, there can be slight variation in given measurement.
