Pashmina comes from 'Pashm' the Persian word for ''wool,'' and refers to the wool of certain Tibetan animals, that is popularly known as “CASHMERE WOOL”. It is a very soft underbelly furs of the mountain goats those lives in the cold high Himalayan regions. Pashmina (the soft under-fur) is collected combed by the herders in every summer; the quantity can be 3-8 ounces per year from one goat not to harming to the goat. After collection of the fur it is then cleaned, carded (if needed) and spun to produce the yarn.
After acquiring the yarn, our local craftsmen who have been weaving (a skill handed over from generation to generation) use handlooms to weave this into a thin, warm, soft and beautiful piece of material. The sweater is then dyed by the experts and then added the design as shown on the picture. This luxurious, extra soft delicate 100% pashmina thin sweater is hand knitted, warm and light weight.
Since this product is produced by purely natural fibers, caring it in your own way like you do for your very special woolen wares or even like your hair care shall result better performance and lasts very long. Since the product is handmade, there can be slight variation in color that may vary due to differences in monitor color depth or even our making procedure. In any case we will try to make them as close as possible.
