He is the most beloved and revered of all the Hindu gods, and is always invoked first in any Hindu ceremony or festival. He is the son of Parvati (the wife of Shiva, the Destroyer, the most powerful of the Hindu trinity of principal gods). The statue is made by the Nepalese craftsmen using traditional method of craftsmanship by hand. The materials used is cupper and later on, it is partly decorated by gold and some other colors. It was first given to a man who was born as Siddhartha Gautam in Nepal 2,500 years ago. He did not claim to be a God and he has never been regarded as such by Buddhists. He was a human being who became Enlightened, understanding life in the deepest way possible. This statue of Shakyamuni Buddha is made by the Nepalese craftsmen using traditional method by hand. Medicine Buddha 20

Medicine Buddha is also known as Bhaisajya Buddha or the Healing Buddha. It is said that one will give out spiritual medicine and healing if he is worshipped or meditated. The statue is made by skilled artisans in Nepal using the lost wax method. This traditional method requires many steps and much fine hand-work to produce each individual statue. First of all, the model is carved from wax which reflects the finished statue. Then, the wax model is coated with a refractory consisting of clay mixed with rice fiber that will lead to dry and harden in the sun. After three coats of the mixture of clay is applied, the model is placed over a charcoal fire to melt the wax and each pattern made with this method is used to produce a single statue. Then melted metal is poured into each pattern wait until it is well set and to be kept into water to wash the clay. Several hours is spent in polishing and finishing (details are accentuate with tiny chisels, gold-plating, hand painting, precious stones setting etc) to make a very high quality statue. Since each face on this statue is hand painted and entire statue is handmade, there can be slight variation in face and given measurement.
