These Tibetan Ghau or gaus are in use to carry magic charms & medicinal herbs as well as the portable shrine for self protection when traveling. Tibetan Buddhists often wear the Ghau that has sacred verse stored inside as the powerful divine objects. These Ghaus are quite similar like American wish boxes.
