Stone sculpture arts - Statues
Kathmandu valley is very popular and very rich in stone sculpture art and architecture from centuries back. One can see many masterpieces of stone arts (especially stone statues, stone temples, giant stone water taps around Patan, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu durbar squares) in Kathmandu that were created by the highly praised Nepalese artisans and nowadays such arts and crafts are also available for interested buyers. Creation Nepal aims to promote this rare hand carving, and hand finishing arts made with the techniques and tools that are in use from hundreds of years by generations of craftsmen and preserve the cultural heritage of Nepal.
The items available with us are mainly the stone Buddha Dharma related statues that are sculpted from very special (harder to keep in exactly the same for hundreds of years) grey stone found near by the Kathmandu valley. Most of our statues are carved with detailed intricate robes using some auspicious symbols and highly decorated base.

Green Tara symbolizes the female wisdom activity of the mind and is basically an emanation of the air-element (Amoghasiddhi Buddha). In some lower tantras of the fire-element (Buddha Amithaba). She is also called 'Mother of All Buddhas' and has many peaceful and wrathful emanation forms. Results of the Green Tara meditation are such as quick thinking and according wisdom-reaction, generosity, magical perfection, fearlessness and spontaneity to reach a quick karmic completion. Her attributes are light blue upala-flowers (peonies). She is adorned with jewels and precious cloth, sitting on a white moon-disk. Her right leg is outside the lotus flower, which symbolizes her continuous activity, alertness and her determination for quick active help. Her hands are in the gesture of granting protection and freeing from fears. Kharcheri is one of the manifestations of the Bodhisatwa Avalokiteswara; he is also associated with the six syllable mantra OM MANI PADME HUM.
